Microsoft Explains new "Vista" name

Microsoft has released an explanation of their name for "Longhorn."

What is this? Even with the explanation, what the hell is "Vista"? All I know is that the next version of XP that i will get is the OS X-tel version. I hope Apple brings OSX to the public market to compete with MS. MS needs to scrap and start with a new kernel.
